Troopers say 60-year-old Timotheus Pohl of Hartland, Vt., struck a deer on Interstate 89. Both headlights on his car were destroyed, and the vehicle became disabled facing south in the northbound lanes. His company would be mandated to provide three paid sick days under a bill being considered by state lawmakers. Daniel Chute, of Old Town and Raymond, was also charged with failure to give his correct name and address when he was summonsed Friday night. A groundbreaking for the second phase of First Wind's Stetson project near Danforth in eastern Maine is scheduled for Monday afternoon. State Energy Director John Kerry and Sen. Kevin Raye of Washington County are among the speakers. The first phase of the project, which comprised 38 turbines on Stetson Mountain, was completed in January. Stetson II will include 17 more windmills. Jeff and Judi Burke last spring put the Keeper's House Inn on Isle au Haut on the market for $2.5 million. The Burkes bought the former Robinson Point Light Station in 1986, renovated it and opened it as an inn. Officials are looking for 26-year-old Clifford Perkins of Old Orchard Beach. He was last seen at the Bolduc Correctional Facility at about 9 p.m. Saturday. According to WMTW-TV, Perkins was serving time for burglary and was due for release in 2011.
