Manchester, NH, Mayor-elect Resigns Senate Seat
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) ―
Manchester, N.H., Mayor-elect Ted Gatsas has resigned his state Senate seat.
Gatsas was elected mayor last week. He said in Thursday's resignation letter that his duties as mayor will require his full attention. Gatsas, a Republican from Manchester, served nine years in the Senate, including one year as its president.
A special election will be held to fill the District 16 seat that serves Hooksett, Manchester, Candia, Dunbarton and Bow.
