A Phillipston teen is under arrest and charged in connection to the vandalism found on several Gardner Churches last week.
Brian Griffin, 19, confessed to spray painting anti-Christian pictures and statements on six churches in Gardner, a Phillipston church and a public high school in Templeton Thursday night.
Police say Griffin turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.
Prior to the arrest of Griffin, the Knights of Columbus was offering a $1,000 reward for information. The Shaloh House Chabad Synagogue and the Rosen Family offered an additional $500 to the reward Monday.
Kenneth Peters of American Power Washing and Cleaning drove 60 miles from Weymouth Saturday to voluntarily power wash the messages away in time for Easter Sunday.
Griffin is charged with six counts of vandalism to a church, six counts of tagging property and six counts of malicious damage over $250. He will be arraigned in Gardner District Court on Wednesday.
According to police, a second suspect who helped in the crimes will be charged at a later time.
